Dula

Dula is a cord-like robot that also happens to be a luchadora. At least, she used to be a luchadora.

Description: There’s a picture of her to the right.
Nicknames: Cordula, Dula, Upsilon-6, The Cord Bomber (her luchadora name before she had to retire)
Species: Cord-Like Robot
Friends: Unknown
Enemies: Unknown
Family: Abe Gladwin (Creator). She also has another family member who I haven't revealed yet.
Hobbies: Watching lucha libre matches, Reminiscing about her days as a luchadora, Playing ring toss
Love Interest: None
Fighting Style: Lucha libre, along with electricity and a smattering of other moves that aren’t strictly part of the lucha libre style.
Job: She used to be a luchadora in the Earthwide Lucha Libre Association. However, she had to retire after losing a match that she bet her career on.

Personality: Dula is selfless to the point of ignoring her own needs in favor of someone else’s convenience. She’d rather keep her injuries than have her creator spend time repairing her, for example. She’s prone to bouts of overconfidence, even if she hasn’t been doing well enough to warrant them. She can be stubborn; for instance, once she comes up with a solution to a problem, she will rarely consider any other solutions to that problem until the first solution fails outright.

Quirks: When standing or walking, she looks like she could collapse at any minute. This is because her legs are like cords.

Wishes: Ever since she was forced to retire from her career as a luchadora, she has wanted to find another way to get people’s hair. She wishes to donate that hair to her creator’s charity, which provides hair replacement for people suffering from medical hair loss.

Strengths:

  • She has an eight-way air dash
  • She can double jump
  • She can jump off of walls
  • She’s stronger than she looks

Weaknesses:

  • She’s not very fast on the ground
  • Her defense isn’t too great

Likes: Masks that actually fit her head, Awesome capes, Circles
Dislikes: Masks that don’t fit her head, People who grow their hair past their waists and never donate any of it, Gunk getting into her hand and foot holes
Fears: Someone tripping over her and breaking their bones

Favorite Drink: N/A
Favorite Food: N/A

Possessions (Buildings not Included):
Six Y Luchadora Mask – This luchadora mask was custom made to fit over Dula’s head. It is yellow, with six dark blue “Y”s arranged in a circle on the forehead area. She mostly keeps this mask for sentimental value; she hasn’t worn it since she lost a mask versus mask match and had to unmask herself.

Luchadora Outfit – This luchadora outfit, complete with cape, was custom made to fit Dula’s body. It is yellow and dark blue. During her luchadora days, she would take the cape off before the beginning of every match. She mostly keeps this outfit for sentimental value nowadays; she hasn’t worn it since she retired as a luchadora.

History:
Dula was created to be the ultimate luchador. Her creator, Abe Gladwin, ran a charity for people who suffer from medical hair loss, so her purpose was to get other luchadores to bet their hair against her and lose. As the Cord Bomber, she was a very successful luchadora for two decades, earning a lot of hair and unmasking several other luchadores. After that, though, she slowly started losing her touch as age and injuries (mostly injuries) took their toll on her body. Abe tried to get her to submit to repairs, but she refused. Her success over the last 20 years led her to believe that she didn’t need repairs to win, and she didn’t want to inconvenience Abe with repairing her regardless of whether she needed them. That changed once she lost a match with her career on the line and had to retire. At that point, she finally gave in and let Abe repair her.

The rest of her history involves stuff that hasn't been revealed yet, so I'm not telling what it is.

Special Info:
It seems odd that Dula was able to use electricity and teleportation in lucha libre matches. However, the Earthwide Lucha Libre Association is a lot less strict than lucha libre leagues in the real world.

Movesets

All Movesets

Special Attacks:
Teleport – Dula teleports to the upper-left, upper-middle, or upper-right of the screen, leaving behind an afterimage. She can teleport while on the ground or in the air. The afterimage disappears after she finishes teleporting.

EX Teleport – If the opponent is in the air, Dula teleports directly in front of them. Otherwise, she teleports directly above them.

Lucha Libre (Normal Moveset)

Normal Attacks:
Cord Bridge – Dula flops on the ground and does a wrestler’s bridge. This move acts as a launcher. In the fighting game, Dula only uses this move while crouching.

Voltage Claw – Dula applies a clawhold to the opponent and then electrocutes them by electrifying herself. After she’s done electrocuting the opponent, she tosses them to the ground. If the opponent is too tall for her to reach their head from the ground, she will apply a stomach claw to the opponent instead of a clawhold.

Izuna Wrap – This move can only be done in the air. Dula wraps herself around the opponent, and then drops them head first into the ground while spinning.

Special Attacks:
Electric Splash – Dula electrifies herself and slams into the opponent belly first. The slam can be aimed downward-left, downward-right, or straight down. After this move is finished, Dula becomes unelectrified. It can only be done in the air. It can be used during the falling portion of Spring Jump, though doing so will cancel the Spring Jump.

EX Electric Splash – The EX version of Electric Splash is always aimed directly at her opponent, even if this would result in her not going downward.

Pouncing Tiger – Dula jumps onto a wall, assuming she isn’t already on a wall. She then pounces off the wall toward the opponent. Once she grabs the opponent and they’re both on the ground, she flips over to the opponent’s back and does a tiger suplex.

Clumsy Tiger (EX Pouncing Tiger) – Dula jumps onto a wall, assuming she isn’t already on a wall. She then pounces off the wall toward the opponent. Once she grabs the opponent and they’re both on the ground, she flips over to the opponent’s back and does a tiger suplex. She then wraps her legs around her opponent’s legs (while still holding the suplex) and slams the opponent into the ground face first.

Spring Jump – In the fighting game, Dula only uses this move in the air. She falls down head first. Once she reaches the ground, she coils herself up like a spring in order to jump high into the air. The strength of the attack button used for this move determines her horizontal movement during both the falling portion and the spring jump. The jump can be canceled into other aerial attacks and movement options (including another Spring Jump); the spring jump counts against her normal jumps, however, so she can only use one of her normal jumps after this move instead of two.

Downward Lariat – In the fighting game, Dula only uses this move during the falling portion of Spring Jump. She performs a spinning double lariat while falling head first, hitting the opponent multiple times.
