Developer's Staff

The Developer’s Staff is a symbol of authority in virtual reality MMORPGs. It gives the game developers the power to preside over the game and keep it in check. Forum moderation powers come from the game forums itself, so the Developer’s Staff does nothing on the forums. The Developer’s Staff can affect the game world itself.

Profile

Name: Staff of Game Development
Size: Medium
Description: Unknown at the moment.
Nicknames: Developer’s Staff
Type: Staff
Owner: I'm not telling the canonical owner yet.
Availability: Very Rare
Produced By: Various Virtual Reality MMORPG makers

Advantages:

  • Extremely powerful
  • Able to change any aspect of the world it is supposed to be used in
  • Allows the user to read complaints and player logs and such

Disadvantages:

  • Only works in the world it's supposed to be used in

Attacks:
Account Ban – Bans the target’s account, “killing” them instantly. This move ignores any instant death resistance. It’s pretty fast for an instant-death move, but it can still be avoided.

Account Control – This move has a 100% chance of controlling an opponent for a period of time. This move ignores any direct control resistance.

Materialization – Creates an enemy out of thin air. Outside of battle, it can be used to create other things.

Nerf - Decreases attributes of an opposing character several levels lower. This move ignores status effect resistances, although the stats can still be boosted by “buff” moves.

Buff – Increases attributes of an ally several levels higher. The stats can still be lowered by “debuff” moves.

Terraform – Alters the game environment to suit the user’s needs. In battle, this causes the game environment to attack the target. This move is different depending on what part of the game environment is being controlled (such as air, land, water, plants, buildings, lava, whatever parts I forgot about, or possibly the entire game environment at once).

Transform – Transforms the target into something else. This move can cause any transformation-related status effect that exists up to the current point in the game. This move ignores status effect resistances.

Teleport – The user teleports to another location.

History:
The producers of the original virtual reality MMORPGs were afraid that the powers of the games’ staffs would carry over to real worlds if something went wrong, so they put the powers in Developer’s Staves and another unrevealed item for the developers and administrators to use.

Special Info:
Usually, the Developer’s Staff can only be used by the game developer that owns it. However, really good hackers (and such) can use it because they bend the MMORPG world rules to suit them. They can even use them in areas they aren't supposed to be used in.
